2010 Elephant Hill Reserve Sauvignon Blanc

The 2010 harvest at our Te Awanga Estate vineyard well suited our Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes were hand-picked and whole bunch pressed to enable gentle extraction of the juice.

Fermentation was undertaken at a cool temperature to maximize varietal flavour and aromas.

The resulting wine was blended and allowed to rest in oak on fine lees for six months. Coupled with regular lees stirring, the wine has developed excellent texture and mouth-feel. The 2010 wine displays a combination of citrus blossom, chive, flint and lemon-zest aromas. The palate is enforced with a mineral and flinty edge with flavours of lime and wild herb. The fine acidity balances the slight retained sweetness creating a taut but classical Sauvignon Blanc.

Delivery

All goods are insured up until the point of delivery. All deliveries in NZ are by courier and direct to your door. A street name and number is required. No deliveries are made to P.O Box addresses. We cannot accept responsibility for delivery to unattended addresses.

Returns

If a wine you have purchased from us is in some way faulty, we will replace it upon your request. Any breakages or shortages must be reported to Elephant Hill Winery within 24 hours of wine being delivered.
